What is Whistleblowing?

Whistleblowing refers to the act of reporting any suspicion of improper, illegal, or unethical conduct within AIIB. This can be reported by employees, customers, partners, contractors, or any other stakeholders who observe or become aware of such behaviour. AIIB’s Whistleblowing Policy encourages individuals to speak up without fear of reprisal, ensuring that all reports are handled discreetly and responsibly.

The Whistleblowing Policy applies to a wide range of unethical or illegal activities, including but not limited to:

• Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing

How to Report a Concern

Protection for Whistleblowers

2. Assessment: The Compliance Department will assess the report to determine the appropriate course of action.
3. Investigation: A thorough investigation will be conducted, ensuring that all relevant facts are gathered and reviewed.
4. Outcome: Based on the findings, AIIB will take the necessary actions, which may include disciplinary measures, corrective actions, or further reporting to regulatory authorities if required.
5. Feedback: If appropriate, the whistleblower may receive feedback on the outcome of the investigation.
